Anthony Roux (born April 18, 1987 in Verdun ) is a French cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2005 Anthony Roux won the overall standings at the Tour de Lorraine and a stage at the Grand Prix Général Patton in the junior class. In 2007 he was third in the U23 class at Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the French time trial championship. He then drove at the end of the season with the ProTeam La Française des Jeux as a stagiaire and got a professional contract for the following season. He celebrated his first international success in 2009 with a stage win at the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe .

In October 2011, Roux was seriously injured in a cross-country race in Boulzicourt, France, and broke two vertebrae. Then he had to take a break for half a year.

In 2014 Roux finished second in the French individual time trial championships and third in the 2016 Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec .

By 2019, Anthony Roux had started twelve major country tours. His best placement of 34th place at the Vuelta a España 2013 . In 2018 he became French road racing champion, and Roux finished fourth in the time trial. He was also third at Clásica San Sebastián and the Tour du Limousin .
