Jean-Claude Leclercq
Jean-Claude Leclercq (born July 22, 1962 in Abbeville ) is a former French cyclist , national coach of the Swiss Cycling Federation and currently cycling commentator.
Career
Leclercq began his professional career in 1984 and went first for cycling teams of Jean de Gribaldy . His greatest successes include winning the French road championship in 1985 and winning the classic Wallonian Arrow in 1987. He also came second in 1990 in Liège – Bastogne – Liège , one of the five monuments of cycling . He ended his career in 1993.
From 2001 to 2004 he was national trainer and technical director of the Swiss Cycling Association . He worked for many years as a cycling commentator for Swiss television and in 2010 switched to the German-language edition of the international channel Eurosport .

Jean-Claude Leclercq was born in Abbeville in the north of France in 1962 . In 1967 he moved with his parents to German-speaking Switzerland, where he grew up. Leclercq describes Swiss German as his mother tongue. But since he was French, he played the French championships. In 2018, Leclercq acquired Swiss citizenship in Endingen, Aargau .
