Orla Jørgensen

Anton Oving Orla Jørgensen (born May 25, 1904 in Gentofte ; † June 29, 1947 ibid) was a Danish cyclist and Olympic champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Jørgensen was with the team of Denmark at the Olympic Summer Games 1928 in Amsterdam Olympic champion in the team competition in road cycling . Leo Nielsen and Henry Hansen drove with him for Denmark . In the individual time trial , they placed 25th in the race.

In his Olympic victory, he also won the Zealand - Tour and Fyen-Rundt . In 1926 he had already won the team championship at the Nordic road racing championships. At the Danish road championship he was third in the victory of Poul Sørensen .
