Henri Pélissier

The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1921 was the 22nd edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, March 27th, 1921.

The race went from Chatou over 263 kilometers; the weather was fine and there was a tail wind. 130 racing drivers started, 48 of whom were able to place. The winner Henri Pélissier completed the race at an average speed of 29.09 km / h .

As planned, Henri Pélissier attacked on a slope near Doullens with his brother Francis on the rear wheel. Henri Pélissier drove away and his brother kept the following drivers at bay. Henri Pélissier drove to victory. Francis finished second despite having a puncture just before the finish on Avenue des Villas in Roubaix and finishing the race with a flat tire.
