Émile Masson senior (born October 16, 1888 in Morlanwelz , † October 25, 1973 in Bierset ) was a Belgian cyclist .

Émile Masson Sr. was a professional racing driver from 1913 to 1925. Before that, he was third in the 1912 Tour of Belgium for Amateurs, and in 1913 he was second. In 1919 and 1923 he won the tour as a professional. Also in 1923 he won Bordeaux – Paris .

Masson took part in the Tour de France seven times . In 1920 he wore the yellow jersey for two days and was fifth overall, in 1922 he won two stages and came in eleventh in Paris, in 1925 he finished the tour in 22nd.

Émile Masson Sr. was the father of racing driver Émile Masson jr. who became Belgian road champion twice after the Second World War and won the Bordeaux-Paris race in 1946, 23 years after his father . After his victory both drove the lap of honor in the Paris Prinzenparkstadion .
