Uli Boettcher

Uli Böttcher , also Ulrich Böttcher (* 1955 ), is a German percussionist and live electronics technician .

Life

Böttcher first studied fine arts. In addition to his work as an artist, he played as a percussionist in various salsa bands.

In 1993 he discovered improvised music and new improvisational music for himself. He started out as a drummer but shifted the focus of his work more and more to live electronics.

He often appears at festivals and works with musicians from the improvisation scene such as Roger Turner , Dirk Marwedel , Uwe Oberg , Wolfgang Schliemann , Claus van Bebber , Carl Ludwig Hübsch , Michel Waisvisz , Phil Minton , Matthias Schubert , Erhard Hirt , the Neue Dresdner Chamber Music and Eugene Chadbourne together. He is co-founder of the Humanoise Congress of the New Jazz Cooperative .

Böttcher lives in Wiesbaden .
