The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1914 was the 19th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 12th, 1914.

In fine weather, the race led from Suresnes over 274 kilometers. 153 racing drivers started, 79 of whom were able to place, but the time is only known of the first seven to reach the Velodrome roubaisien together . The winner Charles Crupelandt completed the race at an average speed of 30.30 km / h .

At this stage it took a long time for the peloton to fall apart. In Arras , after around 210 kilometers, there were still 50 drivers together, and ten kilometers from the finish, 21 drivers were still in front. Seven of them turned into the cycling track together, where local hero Crupelandt won the Paris-Roubaix race for the second time after 1912.

With Oscar Egg , the first Swiss placed in the top ten in the history of the race.
