The one-day race Paris – Roubaix 1927 was the 28th edition of the cycling classic and took place on Sunday, April 17th, 1927.

The race went from Le Vésinet over 270 kilometers. 123 racing drivers started, 93 of them placed. The winner Georges Ronsse completed the race at an average speed of 30.45 km / h .

Georges Ronsse drove past the aid station in Arras without taking any food or drinks. This forced the other drivers to follow him. A group of 20 riders managed to catch up with Ronsse, 16 of whom were left on arrival in Roubaix. First, the French Joseph Curtel was declared the winner at the finish on the Avenue des Villas in Roubaix . The band was already playing the Marseillaise to celebrate its success when the commissioners revised their decision and declared the Belgian Ronsse the winner. There were loud protests from the audience and fights.
