Ennevelin is a French commune with 2,185 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille and is part of the canton of Templeuve (until 2015: canton of Pont-à-Marcq ). The inhabitants call themselves Ennevelinois (es) .

geography

Ennevelin is about eleven kilometers south-southeast of Lille . Ennevelin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fretin in the north, Templeuve in the east and south-east, Mérignies in the south and south-east, Pont-à-Marcq in the south and south-west and Avelin in the west.

The former route nationale 49 (D549) runs along the south-western edge of the municipality .
