Salomé is a French commune with 2,969 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille and is part of the canton of Annœullin . The inhabitants are called Saloméens .

geography

The municipality is located about 20 kilometers southwest of Lille . The Canal d'Aire limits the municipality to the south. Salomé is surrounded by the neighboring communities Illies in the north, Marquillies in the northeast, Hantay in the east, Billy-Berclau in the southeast, Douvrin in the south and La Bassée in the west.

The National Route 41 runs through the municipality .
