Saint Martin Church

Baisieux is a northern French municipality with 4765 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille and is part of the canton of Templeuve . The inhabitants are called Baisiliens .

geography

The municipality is located directly on the border with Belgium . Baisieux is surrounded by the communities of Willems in the north, Tournai (Belgium) in the east (with the districts Blandain and Hertain), Camphin-en-Pévèle in the south, Gruson in the southwest and Chéreng in the west.

The A27 autoroute runs through the municipality . Baisieux station is the terminus of the line coming from Fives (district of Lille) , but it continues to Halle in Belgium.
