geography

Allennes-les-Marais lies in the Carembault countryside , about 13 kilometers southwest of Lille . The canalised Deûle flows along the northern municipal boundary . Allennes-les-Marais is surrounded by the neighboring communities Wavrin in the north, Herrin in the east and north-east, Gondecourt in the east and south-east, Carnin in the south, Annœullin in the west and south-west and Don in the north-west.
