Marcq-en-Barœul (usually only Marcq called NDL .: "brand") is a French city with 38,617 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France in the north of the city of Lille , near the Belgian border on the A22. Mainly service companies are based in the city. The Marcq-en-Barœul racecourse is the most important north of Paris and extends over 30 hectares. Numerous national races for trotters and gallops make Marcq one of the most active locations in France. Marcq also offers exhibitions of a regional dimension.
