The London Borough of Ealing [ ˈiːlɪŋ ] is a borough of London . It's in the west of the city. When the Greater London Administrative Region was founded in 1965, it emerged from the Municipal Borough of Ealing , the Municipal Borough of Southall and the Municipal Borough of Acton in the county of Middlesex . The population in 2008 was composed of 58.9% white, 23.1% Asian, 8.5% black and 1.5% Chinese.

There is a partnership with the Steinfurt district .

The district was also known in the 1940s and 1950s for the Ealing Comedies filmed there - film comedies that were mostly set in the neighborhood of the common people.
