Forest-sur-Marque is a northern French municipality with 1457 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille and is part of the canton of Villeneuve-d'Ascq (until 2015: canton of Lannoy ). The inhabitants are called Forestois .
geography
Forest-sur-Marque is located about four kilometers east of the center of Lille near the border with Belgium . The marque delimits the community to the west and southwest. Forest-sur-Marque is surrounded by the municipalities of Hem in the north and Villeneuve-d'Ascq in the south, west and east.
