Toufflers ( Flemish : Toflaar ) is a northern French municipality with 3905 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille and is part of the canton of Villeneuve-d'Ascq (until 2015 canton of Lannoy ). The inhabitants are called Toufflersois .
geography
Toufflers is right on the border with Belgium . Toufflers is surrounded by the municipalities of Leers in the north, the Belgian municipalities of Estaimpuis with the district of Néchin and Tournai with the district of Templeuve in the east, Sailly-lez-Lannoy in the south, Hem in the southwest and Lys-lez-Lannoy in the west and northwest.
