Houplin-Ancoisne (until 1959: Houplin-lez-Seclin ) is a French municipality with 3409 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . Houplin-Ancoisne belongs to the Arrondissement of Lille and is part of the Canton of Faches-Thumesnil (until 2015: Canton of Seclin-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Houplinois .

geography

Houplin-Ancoisne is located in the metropolitan area south of Lille . The canalised Deûle limits the municipality in the northwest. Houplin-Ancoisne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Haubourdin in the north, Emmerin in the northeast, Noyelles-lès-Seclin in the east, Seclin in the south, Gondecourt in the southwest and Santes in the northwest.
