Herrin is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Faches-Thumesnil in the arrondissement of Lille . The neighboring municipalities are Wavrin in the north, Gondecourt in the east and south and Allennes-les-Marais in the west. In the north, the canalised Deûle forms the municipal boundary .
