Lys-lez-Lannoy (NDL .: "Lys") is a northern French municipality with 13,422 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It is one of 85 member municipalities of the Métropole Européenne de Lille municipal association . The municipality is directly connected to the urban area of Roubaix in the west.

The community is close to the border with Belgium . Your urban area borders directly on Roubaix to the west and north-west. To the east of the city is the Roubaix-Est industrial area.
The other neighboring communities are in the northeast the community Leers , in the southeast the community Toufflers and in the southwest the communities Hem and Lannoy .
