Sainghin-en-Weppes (NDL .: "Sengin") is a French municipality with 5586 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lille and is part of the canton of Annœullin . The inhabitants arecalled Sainghinois .

geography

Sainghin-en-Weppes is about 17 kilometers southwest of Lille . Surrounded Sainghin-en-Weppes of the neighboring communities Fournes-en-Weppes in the north, Wavrin in the East, Don in the Southeast, Annœullin in the south, Billy-Berclau and Bauvin in the southwest, Marquillies the west and Wicres in the northwest. The localities of Hocron , Nouveau Monde and Bout-de-la-Ville are also in the municipality.
