Andreas Augustin von der Lühe

Andreas Augustin von der Lühe (* 1677 ; † January 2, 1730 in Rendsburg ) was a royal Danish major general and most recently chief of the queen's body regiment .

Life

His parents were Volrath Augustin von der Lühe , heir to Fahrenhaupt , Allersdorff and Streithorst and his wife Anna Elisabeth von der Lühe.

On May 31, 1698 he became an ensign in the life guards on foot. On May 6, 1699 he was Second Lieutenant and on November 13, 1700 Premier Lieutenant. He became a captain in the Fühnian Infantry Regiment on March 10, 1703. On October 21, 1707 he was transferred to the bodyguard on foot. During the Northern War in the Battle of Helsingborg he was captured and later exchanged for General Jakob Burenskjöld . The ransom was set at 150 florentines. He was accidentally fallen on some lists. On September 15, 1710 he was appointed major of the guard (comparable to a lieutenant colonel in the army), on September 10, 1712 he was given the character of a colonel and fought in the battle of Gadebusch . In 1713 he was a negotiator in the surrender of General Magnus Stenbock at the siege of Tönning and was a co-signatory of his surrender in Oldenswort . On March 23, 1716 he became a real colonel and chief of the Callenberg Infantry Regiment, but on April 14, 1716 he became chief of the Queen's body regiment. There he was promoted to major general on October 11, 1723 and received the Order of Danebrog on October 11, 1729 .

He died unmarried on January 2, 1730 in Rendsburg.
