Billy-Berclau (NDL .: "Billy Berklo") is a French municipality with 4624 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Pas-de-Calais in the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais in Arrondissement Bethune.

geography

Billy-Berclau is located between the cities of Lens and Lille . At the eastern edge of the municipality is the junction of the Canal d'Aire from the Canal de la Deûle .

history

Part of the community was destroyed in the First World War.

On March 27, 2003, an explosion at the local explosives plant left four dead.
