Ames ( Flemish : Almen ) is a French municipality with 636 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Nord-Pas-de-Calais ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Béthune and the Canton of Lillers (until 2015: Canton Auchel ).

geography

Lozinghem is located 15 kilometers west-northwest of Béthune in the historic province of Artois on the Nave . Ames is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lières in the north, Lillers in the northeast, Ferfay in the south and east, Amettes in the south and west and Auchy-au-Bois in the north-west.
