Noyelles-lès-Vermelles is a French commune with a population of 2,401 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Béthune and the canton of Douvrin (until 2015: canton of Cambrin ). The inhabitants are called Noyellois (es) .

geography

Noyelles-lès-Vermelles is located in the densely populated northern French coal field between the cities of Béthune , Lens and Lille . Noyelles-lès-Vermelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cambrin in the north, Vermelles in the east, Mazingarbe in the south and Annequin in the west.

The former Route nationale 43 (today's D943) runs through the municipality .
