Diéval is located about 17 kilometers southwest of Béthune on the Biette . Diéval is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Camblain-Châtelain in the north, Ourton in the northeast, La Comté in the east and southeast, Bajus in the southeast, La Thieuloye in the south and Bours in the west.
