Dolmen
The Dolmen Table-aux-Fées ( German "table of fairies" ) located on the territory , one of the megalithic monuments in the northern region, gave the municipality its name and was included in the coat of arms. In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
The Table-aux-Fées is the last of four structures, fragments of which still existed in the middle of the 19th century. The others were made into building blocks at the end of the 19th century. The dolmen apparently owes its survival to a lightning strike, which caused the sandstone to lose quality. A horizontally lying, but slipped flat capstone rested on several supporting stones. Presumably the monument was covered by a hill and formed a tumulus . It belongs to the genus that is more common in the Somme valley .
