Calonne-Ricouard is a French municipality with 5454 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Béthune and is part of the canton of Auchel . The inhabitants are called Calonnois (es) .

Calonne-Ricouart is located on the Clarence river . Surrounded Calonne-Ricouard of the neighboring communities Auchel in the north, Marles-les-Mines in the Northeast, Bruay-la-Buissiere the east, Divion in the southeast, Camblain-Châtelain in the southwest and Cauchy-à-la-Tour in the northwest. The former Route nationale 341 runs through the municipality . The station is on the railway line from Fives ( Lille ) to Abbeville .
history
Due to mining in the coal basin in northern France, the community experienced a significant boom in the 1920s and had up to 13,000 inhabitants.
