history

The Portuguese military cemetery Cimetière militaire portugais is located in Richebourg . 1,831 of the 2,160 Portuguese soldiers who died here in the region during World War I rest here.

The current municipality was formed on February 21, 1971 by merging the municipalities of Richebourg-l'Avoué (INSEE code 62706) and Richebourg-Saint-Vaast (INSEE code 62707).
