Lorgies is located in the historical region of Flanders near the border with the Nord department . Lorgies is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aubers in the north and northeast, Illies in the east, La Bassée in the south, Violaines in the south and southwest, Richebourg in the west and Neuve-Chapelle in the northwest.
