The Canton of Laventie was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement of Béthune , in the Pas-de-Calais and the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais . Its main place was Laventie . Roger Douez ( UMP ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Department from 1993 to 2015 . The canton Laventie was on average 18 meters above sea level , between 13 meters in Lestrem and 26 meters in Lorgies .
