The canton of Nœux-les-Mines is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Béthune , in the department of Pas-de-Calais and in the region of Hauts-de-France ; its main town is Nœux-les-Mines . Jacques Villedary ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Department from 1982 to 2015 . The canton of Nœux-les-Mines is 59.97 km² and has 41,982 inhabitants ( as of 2017 ), which corresponds to a population density of 700 inhabitants per km².
