The canton of Wingles is a French canton in the arrondissement of Lens , in the department of Pas-de-Calais and in the region of Hauts-de-France . Its main town is Wingles . Didier Hiel ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2001 .

Until the reorganization, the canton of Wingles consisted of the five municipalities of Bénifontaine , Hulluch , Meurchin , Vendin-le-Vieil and Wingles . Its layout corresponded to an area of 31.22 km 2 .
