The canton of Harnes is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Lens , in the department of Pas-de-Calais and in the region of Hauts-de-France . Its main town is Harnes . Yvan Druon ( PCF ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 1995 . The canton of Harnes is 31.72 km² and has 42,992 inhabitants ( as of 2017 ), which corresponds to a population density of 1355 inhabitants per km².
