Haillicourt is a French municipality with 4886 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béthune and the canton of Nœux-les-Mines . The inhabitants are called Haillicourtois .
geography
Haillicourt lies in the middle of the Artois countryside . Neighboring communities are Hesdigneul-lès-Béthune in the north, Houchin in the north-east, Ruitz in the south-east, Houdain in the south-west and Bruay-la-Buissière in the north-west.
history
