Quernes ( Flemish : core ) is a French municipality with 458 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béthune and the canton of Aire-sur-la-Lys (until 2015: canton of Norrent-Fontes ).
geography
Quernes is about 21 kilometers west-northwest of Béthune . Quernes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Witternesse in the north and west, Lambres in the north-east, Mazinghem in the east, Rombly in the south-east, Linghem in the south and Liettres in the west and south-west.
