Amettes is a French municipality with 475 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Béthune and the Canton of Lillers (until 2015: Canton Auchel ).
geography
Amettes is about twelve kilometers north-northwest of Béthune on the Nave . Amettes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Auchy-au-Bois in the north and northwest, Ames in the east and northeast, Ferfay in the southeast, Aumerval and Bailleul-lès-Perval in the south and Nédon in the west.
