Amettes is about twelve kilometers north-northwest of Béthune on the Nave . Amettes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Auchy-au-Bois in the north and northwest, Ames in the east and northeast, Ferfay in the southeast, Aumerval and Bailleul-lès-Perval in the south and Nédon in the west.
