The linden tree am Thurn is a winter linden tree on a meadow hill of the expiring Haunsberg in the Salzburg region. It divides into several individual branches at a height of around two meters, the crown has a diameter of around 15 meters. It is a good 16 m high, the trunk circumference is 2.3 m.
The winter linden tree marks the highest point in the municipality of Berndorf bei Salzburg and is at an altitude of 687 m above sea level. d. M.
It was planted in 1912 by August Haberl, commonly known as Kalchgruberbauer. The property and the linden tree are now owned by the Salzlechner family, landlords z 'Schwand.
Natural monument
The linden tree was declared a protected natural monument in 1992.
