Festubert is about four kilometers east of the city center of Béthune . The Canal d'Aire runs through the municipality in the south . Festubert is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Couture in the north and north-west, Richebourg in the north, Violaines in the east, Givenchy-lès-la-Bassée in the south-east, Cuinchy in the south and Beuvry in the west and south-west.

history

During the First World War, Festubert was an important place for the deployment to the Fourth Battle of Flanders.
