album Perfectionist

Free (English for "free" ) is a song by the English singer Natalia Kills from the album Perfectionist . The song deals with the topics of consumption and luxury .

background

Free was released on September 11, 2011 as the second single by Kills in the UK . It is an iTunes - EP with different versions of the song, including with the participation of will.i.am , as well as two remixes. The artwork is magazine style. Polydor Records , which represent Kills in the UK, decided against releasing Wonderland as a single in the UK and instead decided to promote Perfectionist by releasing Free a week before the album was released.

arrangement

Free is based on a riff sample from Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights . Will.i.am contributed an opening verse and a bridge to the single version .

reception

Laut.de certifies the song “low level” and criticizes that it is “in the depths” of Kesha because it tries to portray “unbridled shopping as a symbol of freedom”.
