Katja Timmel (born May 4, 1985 ) is a German floorball player . She is under contract with the National League B representative Floorball Riders Dürnten-Bubikon-Rüti.

Career

UHC Sparkasse Weissenfels

Timmel started her career at UHC Sparkasse Weißenfels in Germany. In the winter of the 2003/04 season she received an offer from the Kloten-Bülach Jets, a team from the Swiss National League A.

Kloten-Bülach jets

At the end of the 2003/04 season she finally moved to the Jets together with her teammate Sandra Dirksen . In her last season, she rose with the Kloten-Bülach Jets in the National League B and then left the club.

Train United

In the summer of 2007, Zug United announced the transfer of the German national player. For Zug she played 22 games, scoring eight goals and putting on six more hits.

Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur

Just one year later she signed with the Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur. She stayed with the Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur for two seasons and scored a total of six points. In 2010 she won bronze at the Champions Cup together with Winterthur and took the Swiss Cup .

Floorball riders Dürnten-Bubikon-Rüti

For the 2010/11 season she moved to the National League A club Floorball Riders Dürnten-Bubikon-Rüti . In the National League A she played a total of 76 games.

Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur

In 2015 Timmel signed a contract with her former club Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur. On April 27, 2017, the club announced that the contract with the defender had been extended.

Floorball riders Dürnten-Bubikon-Rüti

On May 9, 2018, the Floorball Riders announced that Timmel would switch back to the Riders after three years from National League A representative Red Ants Winterthur.

National team

Timmel made her debut for the German national team in 2001 at the 2001 World Cup in Latvia, where she also scored her first goal in the jersey of the German national floorball team. She took part in a total of four world championships and numerous international tournaments.
