Erquinghem-le-Sec ( Dutch : Erkegem ) is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Lille-6 in the arrondissement of Lille . It borders on Escobecques , Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin and Beaucamps-Ligny . The inhabitants call themselves Erquinghemois .
