Edward Klabiński

Edward Klabiński ( French Édouard Klabinski ; born August 7, 1920 in Herne , † March 4, 1997 in Halluin ) was a French cyclist .

In 1945 he drove in the independent class. Klabiński was a professional from 1946 to 1953. Then he started again until 1958 as an independent. One of the most significant successes of his career was the overall victory in the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré stage race in 1947 and the victory of the semi-classic GP de Fourmies in 1950. In the 1954 International Peace Race , he drove in the team of Poles living in France. On the advice of his brother Władysław, he had allowed himself to be reamateurised in order to take part in the peace tour.

Edward Klabiński was the older brother of Bronisław and Władysław , who were also racing cyclists.
