Giuliano Figueras

Giuliano Figueras (born January 24, 1976 in Arzano ) is a former Italian cyclist .

In 1995 Giuliano Figueras became the military world champion in road racing . The following year he won the U23 road race at the road cycling world championships in Lugano .

In 1997 Figueras signed a professional contract with Mapei . At the Tour de Langkawi he celebrated his first success in 1998 with a stage win. After further victories at the Tour de Romandie , Tour de la Région Wallonne , GP Rik Van Steenbergen and GP Chiasso , he switched to Ceramiche Panaria in 2001 . In four years he won the Giro del Veneto , the Giro dell'Appennino , the Settimana Internazionale and again the GP Chiasso. From 2005 he drove for the Italian ProTour team Lampre . After the 2007 season, Figueres ended his career as an active professional cyclist at the age of 31.
