Settimana Internazionale

The Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali (short Settimana Internazionale , German  International Coppi- and Bartali Week ) is a five day cycling - stage race , which in the Italian Emilia-Romagna is discharged. It is named after the two Italian cycling legends Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali .

The Settimana Internazionale has been part of the racing calendar of the UCI Europe Tour , a Continental Circuit of the UCI ProTour , since 2005 . The competition is classified in category 2.1. The event takes place every year at the end of March and is the start of a series of races in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, organized by Gruppo Sportivo Emilia .

Other races belonging to the series, which are spread over the entire racing season, are the Memorial Marco Pantani , the Due Giorni Marchigiana , the GP Città di Misano , the Giro Dolce di Parma , the Memorial Cimurri , the Giro dell'Emilia and the GP Beghelli . Apart from the Settimana, which lasts five days, and the two days of Marchigiana , the other races are all one-day races .

A total of six stages will be run over the five days, including two half-stages on the first day of competition, one of which is a team time trial.
