Emanuele Sella (born January 9, 1981 in Vicenza ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Sella became a professional at Ceramiche Panaria in 2004 . He celebrated his first success at the Giro d'Italia in 2004 . By attempting to break away, he won a medium mountain stage and, alongside Damiano Cunego, was a great new discovery. In the overall standings he was twelfth. At the Giro d'Italia 2005 he improved to tenth place overall. He also won the Brixia Tour stage race the following July

Sella was able to surprise at the Giro d'Italia 2008 , in which he won three difficult mountain stages and the mountain classification . On August 5, 2008 it was announced that Sella had tested positive for the EPO preparation CERA during a training check on July 23, 2008 . A short time later he confessed to doping. He was banned for one year from August 19, 2008 to August 18, 2009. Because of his cooperation with the investigators, he received a shortened sentence.

After his suspension he won the overall ranking of the Settimana Internazionale in 2011 and the one-day races Coppa Agostoni and Gran Premio Industria & Commercio di Prato in 2012 . After the end of the 2015 season, he ended his career.
