Giulio Ciccone (born December 20, 1994 in Chieti ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

Ciccone won the mountainous 10th stage of the Giro d'Italia 2016 as a soloist , becoming the third youngest professional to ever win a stage in the Giro d'Italia after Fausto Coppi and Luigi Marchisio . In 2019 he won the 16th stage and the mountain classification of the Giro d'Italia 2019 .

At the Tour de France 2019 he finished second in the mountain finish on the 6th stage from Mulhouse to Planche des Belles Filles and took over the yellow jersey of the leader in the overall standings. He was able to defend this lead the following day in Chalons-sur-Saone , but had to return the yellow jersey to Julian Alaphilippe the next day in Saint-Étienne .
