Jean Dotto

Jean Dotto (born March 27, 1928 in Saint-Nazaire , † February 20, 2000 in Ollioules ) was a French cyclist . Born an Italian, he took French citizenship on September 1, 1937.

Career

His professional career lasted from 1948 to 1962, and in the field of drivers he was called "Vigneron de Cabasse". His greatest success was the victory in the overall classification of the Tour of Spain in 1955. Dotto also won a stage in the Tour de France and in the Giro d'Italia . Dotto later admitted to having been doping with amphetamines during his cycling career.
