Melchor Mauri
Melchor Mauri Prat (also Melcior Mauri, born April 8, 1966 in Vic , Spain) is a former Spanish cyclist .
Career
His professional career with a total of 58 victories lasted from 1987 to 2002. His greatest success was in 1991 winning the overall classification of the Vuelta , where he also celebrated three stage wins. Melchor Mauri was a very good time trial, but always had phases of weakness in the difficult mountain stages of the big tours. However, he won several small tours in Spain. In his specialty, he was Spanish national champion and runner-up world champion in 1998 in Valkenburg, the Netherlands .
Today Mauri is a successful entrepreneur. His company Bikecontrol M.Mauri specializes in indoor cycling .
