Services computing

Services Computing is an interdisciplinary approach that deals scientifically and technologically with the question of how information technologies (IT) can substantially support the business-relevant strategies and processes of entrepreneurial value creation of products and services. Basic technologies that are used here are web services and service-oriented architectures (SOA), cloud computing , business process modeling , methods and tools of management consulting, as well as transformation and integration technologies .

Services computing encompasses the entire life cycle of IT-based company-related services. That refers u. a. on the development, implementation and distribution of IT services and the associated service management, the connection of IT and business processes, the analysis and optimization of business processes, consulting methods, data management ( big data ) and the design of innovative IT architectures, e.g. . B. Cloud Computing, and the security and reliability of systems.

The aim of Services Computing is to provide business-related processes and company-related services more efficiently and effectively using computer-aided procedures and IT services.
