Services Provider Licensing Agreement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Services Provider Licensing Agreement ( SPLA ) is Microsoft's hosting licensing program . With this licensing model , Microsoft products can be rented through a hosting service provider . The payment model for the end customer can be freely agreed between the service provider and the end customer. The billing by Microsoft towards the hoster occurs monthly according to the use of the software. The hoster must provide appropriate reporting so that the monthly usage can be reliably recorded.

The end customer does not need an existing license agreement for this type of license. The licenses must be provided by the Application Service Provider (ASP). In addition, all Microsoft products with the exception of the desktop operating systems can be acquired through this licensing program.
